A solution to the Han Solo plot problem

In the sequel trilogy, The Force Awakens had an alarming scene where Kylo Ren killed his father Han Solo. Then, Chewbacca shot Kylo, almost in a desperate effort to prevent him from killing Han Solo.

This scene has been criticized for eliminating a main character that has been a staple of the Star Wars storyline. But I can see a main reason why: to make Kylo Ren really evil in the eyes of the audience.

However, I think this same effect could have been made while keeping Han alive. Instead of killing his father immediately, Kylo could have used force choke and elevated him above the floor, screaming at him that he was a vile war criminal and enemy of his grandfather Darth Vader. At this point, unbeknownst to him, Chewbacca then shoots Kylo from his distant balcony, landing his shot just like in the movie. This shot would have forced Kylo to release Han Solo, who would have ran away back to safety, perhaps while dodging blaster fire from stormtroopers. After returning to his companion Chewbacca, they could have shared humorous remarks concerning if he really saved his life or not, or if they were even now.

Then during the last movie, when Leia reached out to Kylo and interrupted his duel with Rey, she could have still projected the image of Han Solo making the same plea. Then the two could have hugged. When Kylo threw his lightsaber into the lake and turned around to see him, Han would vanish and Kylo (now Ben Solo) would realize it was a projection from his mother.

So, there's my solution! Saving Han Solo would also mean we would have seen him with Luke Skywalker in exile. That would have been very special.

Details in “Battle Scars”

Echo

I’m really enjoying The Bad Batch, and the last episode “Battle Scars” was outstanding. But I noticed one detail about Echo that was puzzling and out of place. Looking it up, I found it was listed among other discrepancies I had missed:

Continuity
While sitting at the bar, Rex's wrist comm is on his left wrist instead of his right. Echo has a bandage on his temple when activating the surgical pod and when working at the controls after Wrecker's headache intensifies, even though he has not yet had his inhibitor chip removed. Wrecker does not wear his backpack during his rampage, but is seen with it in one shot while he chases Omega. starwars.fandom.com/wiki/Battle_Scars
I noticed that about Echo, when getting ready to help Wrecker he had the bandage on, but when Wrecker was on the medical table, it was off! (See images above.)

Were these continuity discrepancies intentional?

Here’s How Often You Should Shut Down Your iPhone (and Why)

Smartphones don’t need to rest often, but periodically shutting them down and restarting them could benefit your iPhone.

Most of us probably try restarting or hard resetting our iPhones when there’s a problem — like apps freezing up or crashing. And that’s exactly what you should do in these situations since a hard reboot can clear up many bugs and issues without any other actions.

But beyond doing it when your iPhone is acting weird, restarting your device every now and then could help prevent these issues in advance.

Many users report that their iPhones run smoother and quicker after a restart. That includes general performance, as well as animation and app loading times.

Presumably, this is because restarting an iPhone will refresh the device’s memory and clear its cache. While iOS does a great job at managing memory on its own, a simple refresh could help give it a cleaner slate to work from.

On the other hand, restarting your iPhone isn’t going to have much of an effect on your battery life. It’s really the apps you use and how often you use them that will have an impact on how long your iPhone stays charged.

If you’re worried about battery life, it’s much more effective to switch off Background App Refresh and Location Services for non-necessary apps.

There’s also another reason to periodically restart or shut down your device: digital wellbeing. We could all stand to spend a bit less time on our iPhones, and the minute or so it takes for a device to fully reboot is a good starting point. Better yet, turn it off and spend some time screen-less.

While the jury is out on how often you’ll want to power down your iPhone, giving it a quick refresh once a week has proven to be effective for many users.

As far as how to restart your iPhone, there are a couple of options. You can force restart it, though the exact method varies depending on which model of iPhone you have.

A prequel character you likely missed

Quinlan Vos was a maverick within the Jedi Order and garnered a reputation for bending the rules. He was renowned for his retrocognition—perceiving others' memories when touching objects they had contacted. Due to this ability, Vos was an expert tracker. Many of his missions took him into the criminal underworld. Quinlan Vos was based on a background character who appeared in the streets of Mos Espa in the 1999 film Star Wars: Episode I The Phantom Menace. There, he saw a young Anakin Skywalker at least once.
